Emma Krab is a journalist and writer from the wild prairie of western Nebraska.

Emma currently attends Iowa State University's Creating Writing and Environment MFA program, where she writes environmentalist fiction and nonfiction. Her writing, often described as Midwest Gothic, frequently uses research and history to discuss themes of rural isolation, intergenerational family, and the sacred.

As a journalist, Emma has produced audio and digital work for Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska News Service, and Platte Basin Timelapse with an emphasis on environment, health, political and rural reporting. Her audio work has won national awards from the National Broadcast Society and the Broadcast Educators Association, among others.​
